Working Principle of Hot Melt Machine
The hot melt machine operates based on the principle of 'thermal conduction + pressure fusion' to achieve plastic welding or metal/plastic thermoplastic riveting. The core process is as follows: During the equipment preheating phase, the heating plate (or thermoplastic rivet head) is energized, and the internal heating tube converts electrical energy into thermal energy, raising the surface temperature to the melting range suitable for the welding material (such as PP, PE, ABS plastics, or some thermoplastic metal coatings); after the workpiece is precisely positioned, the mechanical transmission system (pneumatic, hydraulic, or servo-driven) pushes the heating plate into contact with the workpiece, and the heat from thermal conduction causes the welding surface of the workpiece to quickly melt; after reaching the preset melting time, the heating plate withdraws, and the mechanical system applies a holding pressure, allowing the molten material to cool and solidify under pressure, forming a molecularly bonded strong joint, thus completing the welding/riveting process.
